THE 4TH URUSARO FESTIVAL INTERNATIONAL WOMEN FILM FESTIVAL PRIZE LIST
On October 11th, 2019, The URUSARO IWFF celebrated the closing of a rich week of activities. It was also an awarding night of African films classified under 4 categories and the Winners are the following:
1. RWANDAN SHORT FICTION COMPETITION
– The Award went to “Kwicuza” 14’00’’ by Jean Chrétien MUNEZERO
– Special Mention to “Luna”, 19’00’’, by Bora SHINGIRO
2. EAST AFRICAN FICTION COMPETITION
– The Award went to “Supa Mama”, 45’00’’, by Christina PANDE from TANZANIA
3. AFRICAN SHORT FICTION COMPETITION
– The Award went to “Tune Of Kora”, 12’00’’, by Angèle DIABANG from SENEGAL
– Special Mention to “Our Albertinia”, 20’55’’, by Chantel CLARK From SOUTH AFRICA
4. AFRICAN DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION
– The Award went to “Balolé, the Golden Wolf”, 01h05’00’’, by Aïcha BORO from BURKINA FASO
– Special Mention to “ Fifiire in Cuballo Land”, 01h21’00’’, by Mame Woury THIOUBOU from SENEGAL
From the Jurors’ perception, The 4th URUSARO International Women Film Festival offered a great space to amazing films telling stories around the place and the contribution of women in the society.
